Lorenz Cartellieri has over 10 years of experience in the fiber optic industry and test applications. Working for Airbus in Germany he completed a comprehensive study on the use of Optical Time Domain Reflectometers. After immigrating to the US he worked as a senior design engineer at Rifocs Corp. where he designed fiber optic instruments for various performance test applications.

As a product manager he successfully marketed the award winning test system for automated ribbon fiber testing "RTS" and taught courses on fiber optics. Lorenz Cartellieri is currently chairman of the TIA subcommittee on Fiber Optic Metrology FO-4.5 and is a member of the SAE AS-3 Technical Committee on Fibre Optics and Applied Photonics.

John Kim has over 10 years of experience in fiber optic test and various measurement applications. Prior to co-founding Experior Photonics in 2003, he worked for Rifocs Corporation, where he was a senior design engineer.

At Rifocs Corp. he was principally responsible for developing automated systems and software for specific fiber optic applications, including environmental temperature cycling, ribbon fiber and flex circuit verification, wavelength and polarization measurements, and DWDM component qualification.
