Verizon Certified ITL Program

Experior Photonics is approved by Verizon under the ITL FOC Certification program to perform Fiber Optical Component testing to the following standards at its Newbury Park, California laboratory:

  • GR-326-CORE, Generic Requirements for Single mode Optical Connectors and Jumper Assemblies, Issue 3, September 1999 and Issue 2, December 1996

  • GR-1221-CORE, Generic Reliability Assurance Requirements for Passive Optical Components, Issue 2, January 1999

  • GR-1209-CORE, Generic Requirements for Passive Optical Components, Issue 3, March 2001

Experior Photonics is a Verizon-certified Independent Test Laboratory (ITL) under Verizon's Fiber Optic Component (FOC) Program. As a certified laboratory, Experior Photonics can conduct testing of fiber optic components in accordance with Telcordia GR-Series Standards at its state-of-the-art optical test laboratory in Newbury Park, California.

Experior Photonics can also offer FOC witness testing services at a manufacturer's facility. As part of the program, both Experior Photonics and Verizon will assess a manufacturer's laboratory facility to ensure it has the test equipment, trained staff, laboratory procedures and ISO/IEC-17025-based quality system needed to perform testing of fiber optic components. Upon obtaining authorization to participate, Experior Photonics’ engineering staff will witness the tests at the manufacturer's laboratory and include the data in a Verizon-specific report format. The witness testing program helps customers reduce product-to-market cycles and more cost-effectively meet Verizon's requirements
